Undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degree diplomas will be conferred during the University of ÃÞ»¨ÌÇÖ±²¥ at Lafayette’s Summer 2014 Commencement ceremony.

This summer Commencement is the University’s first since 1949. It will take place at 11 a.m. in the Convention Center adjacent to the Cajundome. The ceremony will be held in Exhibit Hall B, which is on the first floor.

The University will confer about 160 degrees.

Ceremonies will now be held three times each year, once in the fall, once in the spring and once in the summer.

Summer Commencement is being reintroduced to give graduating seniors an opportunity to participate in a ceremony without having to wait until the fall semester. The University first held Summer Commencement in the 1930s.

All graduates are required to attend and participate in full regalia.
