High School Seniors Can Get a Jumpstart on College

Lafayette Parish high school seniors who want to get started with college can do so at UL Lafayette this fall.

Applications are still being accepted for the Fall 2007 Jumpstart Program. Qualified high school seniors can enroll in up to two UL Lafayette courses including Psychology 110, Sociology 100 and Geology 105.

Students must be on track to complete the Board of Regents (TOPS) Core, have a 2.75 cumulative GPA, and ACT scores of an 18 in English, an 18 in Math and a 21 composite.

Students receive college credit and high school credit for courses. The only cost is a $25 application fee. Students in Jumpstart will not have to re-apply to UL Lafayette following high school graduation.
