Hudspeth's tenure as Ragin' Cajuns head football coach comes to an end

The tenure of one of the most successful head coaches in the history of Ragin’ Cajuns football has ended.

Former head coach Mark Hudspeth was relieved of his duties on Sunday, the day after a season-ending loss to Appalachian State. The defeat resulted in ÃÞ»¨ÌÇÖ±²¥â€™s third straight losing season.

The loss, however, doesn’t erase Hudspeth’s impact on the program over the last several years.

He led the team to its first-ever bowl win in 2011, when the Ragin’ Cajuns topped San Diego State 32-30 in the New Orleans Bowl. Three straight New Orleans Bowl victories followed, making the team the only one in NCAA history to win the same bowl four consecutive times.
