UL Lafayette students interested in learning about the creation and historical evolution of presidential power can sign up for a class which begins March 8.
Political Science 390: Presidential Power is a course that chronicles presidential power both legal and political and in domestic and foreign arenas. It will examine the original Constitutional intent of the founders, historical precedents, U.S. Supreme Court cases and the nature of relations between the President and the public, media, Congress, bureaucracy and courts.
The one-hour credit course will be held on Thursdays from 11 to 11:50 a.m. Students interested in registering should contact the department secretary in room 112, Mouton Hall. For more information, call 482-6171.
