The University of ÃÞ»¨ÌÇÖ±²¥ at Lafayette employs a university-wide, merit-based system to award graduate faculty membership, with approximately 60 percent of our full-time continuing faculty members holding such membership, which is awarded for terms of five years. This membership bestows upon professors the authority and responsibility to mentor, advise, and actively engage in the education and research activities of graduate students.
Graduate faculty members are often deeply involved in teaching, research supervision, and scholarly contributions that significantly contribute to the advancement of graduate education at the University. In the following pages, you will find information on the rights of graduate faculty members, the criteria used to evaluate applicants, and the application process.
