Biomedical Engineering
You should minor in biomedical engineering if:
- You are an engineering major.
- You want to combine your interests in engineering, biology, and chemistry.
- You are interested in working in the medical field.
The biomedical engineering minor is for engineering majors who want to gain expertise in bioengineering challenges. You will develop competitive skillsets from classes in anatomy, biochemistry, and more.
This minor will prepare you to be a biomedical engineer who designs biomedical equipment and devices, such as artificial internal organs, body part replacements, and diagnostic machines.
Program Requirements
You must be an engineering major to earn your minor in biomedical engineering.
You will need to complete 19 credits hours of relevant courses. Up to 12 hours can be counted toward your major engineering curriculum.

Each minor requires you to complete a minimum of 18 hours in the specialized area while completing your degree within one of our current engineering and industrial technology programs.
